I have been using a basic template to flesh out characters for roleplay and story writing for a decade or more. This is more likely going to work better with novels containing fantasy sci fi paranormal other speculative fiction elements or with a greater emphasis toward world building and those with works in the literary contemporary genre can cross out.

Rp character sheet template. If you like playing strategic games such as battletech here you will find the internets largest collection of strategic role playing game character sheets. The st prefers anything that would be represented with dots to be a numeral spelling out how many are in a given category. Text that should not appear. They are quite detailed covering everything from name to appearance to history and biography.

Its evolved a few times and had extra categories added and some removed and sometimes gets modded a bit on a per character basis. Instead of putting three asterisks or whatever next to your strength you would put the numeral 3 beside strength. Note that text inside the headings markup will appear in the contents box as a link to that section.
